VIVO is a not for profit media production, exhibition and distribution
centre. We are an evolving organization operated by and for artists and
media/community activists. Since 1973, with the founding of the Satellite
Video Exchange Society (SVES), VIVO has grown into a vibrant artist-run
centre with state of the art facilities and educational workshops. We have
production equipment, studio space, audio, video and new media
post-production facilities, and during regular hours of operation,
light-technical support is available to producers as they work. Other
exciting facets of the centre include ongoing public exhibitions of video
and new media programs and Video Out's International Distribution network.
Anyone is welcome to become a Producer Member at VIVO. Membership is
$50 (Associate), $100 (Producer) per year. New Member orientations are available on an ongoing basis,
either by appointment or walk-in. Our workshops are for both new and experienced
producers. You must complete the relevant access workshop in order to rent our
facilities and equipment. For those with extensive experience in either production
or post-production, please contact the Production/Technical Coordinator.
